Brain oxygen monitoring for high-risk preterm infants
Pre-term birth and its direct consequences are the globally-leading cause of death for children under five years, with about 15 million infants born prematurely every year and about 1 million associated deaths. OxyPrem is the first medical device which protects their brains from oxygen under supply with true reliability and high precision. It safeguards the children using harmless, non-invasive light and alerts the clinician to take preventive action once the brain oxygen moves outside the normal range. Our goal is to eliminate the threat of insufficient oxygen causing death or life-long damages for pre-term infants.
